The New I-64 is Coming and We Want to Assist You!

The Audiology staff would like to take this opportunity to assist you with planning alternate routes to access services at the Center for Advanced Medicine (CAM) or Central Institute for the Deaf (CID).
Construction to rebuild I-64/US40 between Spoede Road and just east of Kingshighway begins in the Spring 2007, but lanes on I-64 will not be affected during peak hours until early 2008.

Interstate 70 and 44 are the main alternate routes during construction on I-64/US40. An additional lane in each direction will be striped on I-70 from I-270 to I-70 and on I-44 from I-270 to downtown. MoDOT will not complete construction on I-70 or I-44 in 2008 and 2009. Any needed maintenance will be completed at night. Other good alternate routes include Page, Olive, Forest Park Pkwy, Manchester, and Lindbergh. The signals are being synchronized on these roads to help traffic move as easily as possible.

Gateway Constructors, the project contractor, will keep the major North-South roads open during construction. These roads include Lindbergh, Brentwood, Hanley and Kingshighway. These streets will be under construction to build the new I-64 interchanges, but will remain open. As you make your alternate travel plans, please consider these additional options:
      • The Division of Audiology at our West County Office
605 Old Ballas Road, Suite 124
        Creve Coeur, MO 63141

This office has three sound-suites and provides all diagnostic and hearing aid services, with the exception of electrophysiologic measures. Emily Adams, M.S. and Jennifer Listenberger, M.A. are the audiologists at our West County Office.
